“Pillow Study 2” consists of objects from the study process aimed at conceiving soft and affective robots. Pillow implies the modular nature of the objects that can be combined and extended to build furniture, clothing, interior architecture, or human-scale installations. These pillows serve as scaled-down models of soft and affective robots, thus the building blocks for future projects. The “Pillow Study 2” presented in this exhibition is the advanced version of “Pillow Study”. In this project, the artist experiments specifically with the change of its form, texture, and shadows produced by the breathing pillows.

필로우 스터디는 부드럽고 정서적인 로봇을 구상하기 위한 스터디 과정의 오브제들이다. 필로우로서 의미하는 것은 우선 오브제의 모듈러한 성격으로,
필로우 크기의 모듈이 합쳐지고 확장되어 가구나, 옷이나, 실내 건축이나, 휴먼 스케일의 설치 작업으로 발전할 수 있는 가능성이다. 이들 필로우들은 부드럽고 정서적인 로봇의 축소 모델들이며 이후 프로젝트를 위한 빌딩블럭으로 작용한다. 본 전시에서 선보이는 <필로우 스터디 2>는 필로우 스터디의 심화된 버전으로, 특히 호흡하는 필로우의 형태와 질감 그리고 그림자의 변화가 만들어 내는 정서적인 효과를 실험한다.
